Ba Gua Sabre
The Ba Gua Sabre (Ba Gua Dao), with its metre long blade is visually the most striking of the White Cloud weapons. The Ba Gua Hand Rolling Broadsword form is the longest and most complex in the White Cloud repertoire and is only taught to those who can demonstrate competency in the open handed, circular and linear Ba Gua forms.
The shear weight of this sword means that training with it, even for only a short time, is difficult and the students who want to progress will need to push the limits of their strength and endurance. However, the Ba Gua Dao is not just a heavy weapon used to build strength, it is a part of the Ba Gua art which means that the form, when done properly, will involve all the subtleties that the internal martial arts entail - for these reasons there are very few people who have learnt the form in its entirety.
